About the Career Guidance Cell
The Career Guidance Cell of the Faculty of Communication and Business Studies, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, supports students in planning and developing their careers by providing guidance, career awareness, and employability development opportunities.
The Cell helps students connect their academic knowledge and skills with suitable career opportunities and prepares them to meet the changing demands of the local and global workplace.
Main Functions
Career Pathway Guidance
Assist students in identifying suitable career pathways based on their interests, abilities, qualifications, and aspirations.
Employability Skills Development
Develop students’ communication, leadership and teamwork, problem-solving, digital, and interpersonal skills required for employment.
Career Development Activities
Organize career talks, seminars, workshops, training programmes, and professional development activities.
Industry and Employer Engagement
Facilitate interaction with employers, professionals, industries, and organizations to provide students with internships, employment opportunities, and workplace exposure.
Career Readiness
Prepare students for job applications, interviews, professional life, entrepreneurship, self-employment, and emerging career opportunities.
